I am the founder of PhoenixHistory and the president of its associated non-profit corporation, PhoenixHistory.org. I am a web developer by profession and a historian by nature. I am primarily interested in territorial-era Phoenix history, so most of my articles and contributions will revolve around that.
I created this site because there's really no central source for knowledge about Phoenix history. As time wears on, I see more and more people completely ignorant of the amazing environs we live in. There's so much that's transpired here and it's a shame if they don't have at least a sense of what came before—better still, an actual appreciation.
I view this site as the legacy I want to leave to my three beautiful daughters. I would have adored this sort of site when I was growing up (had there been an Internet, of course) and I hope that they will enjoy it as well.
